Spring Reading Camp {Beginner Level}
The Spring Reading Camp for beginner readers is a reading camp for kindergarteners and first graders that want to spending time reading books with friends.
Class Details: In this 5-day camp, children will review ending sounds, beginning letter sounds, and practice reading aloud with the teacher and classmates.

Teacher: Teacher Tiffany {BA Psychology, BSc Biology/Chemistry, Master of Family Life & Youth Development, TEFL Certified, Former Analytical Chemist}
Requirements:
- Level – Kindergarten and above
- Students should be aged 5-7.
- Students should know letters and letter sounds for all 26 letters of the alphabet.
- Students should have been exposed to beginner reader books and able to read most words with little assistance.
**If your student does not meet these requirements, consider enrolling them in a different level reading course.

The Reading Lab {Beginner Level}
The Reading Lab is a beginner reading class for students aged 5-7. This class is for young learners who are working towards reading more fluently and desire to come together with peers in their same age group for reading aloud and sharing.
Class Details: In this lab class, students will meet to be guided through reading selections from books, short stories, and/or online platforms. Students will be asked to read aloud and answer reading comprehension questions. {Classes with one student will not be cancelled. It will be private tutoring with no additional cost to parents}
Format: September 2023 | Tuesdays and Thursdays | 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM {EST}

Requirements:
- Level – 1st grade and above
- Students should be aged 5-7.
- Students should be decoding, segmenting, and exposed to beginner reader books.
- Students should be comfortable with letter names, letter sounds, and rhyming cvc words.
**If your student does not meet these requirements, consider enrolling them in a different level reading course.

The Spelling Lab {Intermediate}
Reading is not the same skill as spelling. If you learner is comfortable reading at grade level but struggles with spelling, they are not alone. Learning to spell phonetically is a process often achieved over time.
Class Details: In this class, students will meet two times in a week to be given the time and opportunity to practice spelling cvc words, sight words, and other commonly used words in an encouraging/supportive space. **We know that high achiever are often frustrated easily when they are faced with spelling challenges.
Format: September 2023 | Tuesdays and Thursdays | 6:15 PM – 6:45 PM {EST}

Requirements:
- Level: 2nd grade and above
- Students should be aged 6-8.
- Students should be able to read beginner reader books will little assistance.
- Students should be able to identify beginning and ending sounds of words.
- Students should be familiar with common digraphs.
**If your student does not meet these requirements, consider enrolling them in a private tutoring session.
