Hello, my name is Tiffany Green but students call me Teacher Tiffany. I’m a native English speaker {United States}, former AmeriCorps Member {English Teacher}, educator to youth {Prague}, STEM professional {Chemist}, and just a girl who enjoys helping children learn with support from homemade cookies.
I have two professional passions – education and science.

I began my college career pursuing undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology which led to a career as a chemist. I enjoyed the structure and predictability of laboratory work but I had an amazing experience serving as an English teacher in AmeriCorps for two years that showed me how rewarding teaching could be and I was hooked. Through AmeriCorps, I met students from many nations around the world and I was inspired to travel.
I traveled the world {Europe, Asia, Americas, Caribbean} to learn and get a new perspective on how other people live and learn. I volunteered in Guatemala and in preparation for teaching abroad for a Summer in Prague, I earned TEFL certifications for adults and young learners.
If it’s not obvious, I’ll tell you. I found my happy place teaching and tutoring children. The challenge and the reward of watching children learn is unmatched. I went on to earn my masters degree in family life and youth development and I use what I learned from each educational and life experience to create meaningful and effective learning resources for my students.

Why I Teach?
After having a non-teaching career, I found my way back to teaching. The time in my life as a teacher was not about upward career mobility or helping myself; it was a challenging and selfless time that grew me as a person. I am now in that space again with my two children and my students.
