What could be more exciting than helping children learn?
I couldn’t think of anything more purposeful {and fulfilling} than helping children learn, so I’ve committed to creating all sorts of resources for toddlers, preschoolers, and early learners {K-2nd grade}.
Who Am I?
I just a girl…
I’m a native English speaker {United States}, former AmeriCorps Member {Teacher in the USA}, educator to youth {Abroad}, college-educated STEM professional {Chemist}, avid traveler {old travel journal}, and just a girl who enjoys helping children learn, with the support from homemade cookies.
Teaching again was never my plan…
After having a non-teaching career as a scientist {analytical chemist}, I never thought I’d be back teaching but when my daughter was born, I hung up my lab coat and dedicated my energy to being a wife, mom, and home educator to my children. Guiding the home and helping my children learn and thrive became my #1 goal.
And… while at home, I realized how much I missed teaching. The time in my life as a teacher was not about upward career mobility or helping myself. It was a challenging and selfless time that grew me as a person. I am now in that space again with my children, being challenged and selflessly giving of myself to build them up and I like me in this role. I like it so much that I’ve committed to helping build up other children academically too.
Here on English Confetti, I share literacy, math, and writing resources that are often inspired by my children. So if you are a parent or educator who is on a similar path, trying to create spaces to foster engaging and meaningful learning opportunities, you are in the right place. Join the English Confetti family and enjoy one resource at a time.

It is my desire to create effective tools {classes, printables, workshops} that feel more like play than work, so that children stay in love with learning.
